Samsung doesn’t know how to make ugly products, and they are back once again to prove this statement by introducing the the first Blu-ray soundbar system, the HT-BD8200. This 2.1 channel system has got everything you need to play Blu-ray on your computer or TV. The beauty of gloss black and semi-transparent curves gives the device some real stunned looks.
Spec-wise, the BD8200 is a fully feature-packed system with beautiful performance and negligible flaws. The rear of the soundbar has connections, including FM, optical audio, Ethernet, USB, HDMO and video out jack. Anyone with Samsung TV can exploit the use of Anynet+ as well as using the remote to control TV, which has its buttons focused on TV functionalities rather than the player itself (That’s a very big plus point). Audio performance was highly detailed and superb in terms of depth. You can also do stuffs like audio upscaling to enhance your listening experience.
The BD8200 also has Youtube access so you can simply go online and watch videos through Youtube. Overall, Samsung HT-BD8200 is a great all-in-one solution and is a must buy for audio lovers.

Not too much space for a home theatre system? Don’t worry. Samsung might just have the perfect solution for you!
The new Samsung HT-D7100 is an all-cube speaker model having the speakers and the subwoofer encapsulated into one single cubical unit! In shorter words- it’s the world’s smallest Blu-Ray Player plus home theatre system that can fit anywhere. The entire unit is essentially a 2.1 sound system featuring a total of 110W of power. The system supports Samsung’s new “3D Sound Plus” technology which will allow several surround sound effects.
It also features a fully packed Blu-ray player which has almost all the HD audio features available today, such as- Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio, etc. The system offers you to upscale standard SD videos to full-HD 1080p resolution videos. What’s more, this system is 3D compatible; it can covert 2D videos to stereoscopic 3D videos. So you do not have to worry about a 3DTV anymore. Simply configure your home theatre system and enjoy watching 3D movies on your normal TV with your anaglyph or stereoscopic glasses! If you need a home theatre system that’s both portable and packed with features plus power, the Samsung HT-D7100 is a must-have for you.

The BD-D6500 is a new ultra small and superslim 3D Blu-Ray Player from Samsung, featuring built in Wifi, Samsung’s new Smart Hub, and Ultra Fast Play. Smart Hub is a collection of Apps like Netflix, Vudu, Youtube, Hulu Plus, and some other necessary widgets. It also includes a search and recommendation function to help in finding movies.
The player has built-in Wi-Fi and can access Samsung Apps, which opens up a wide variety of streaming-media services, including Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, Pandora, Blockbuster, and Twitter. The Netflix interface is quite nice allowing you to look for videos by genre, new additions, recommendations, your queue, or search. The movies are laid out as small thumbnails, which is quite pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate. This is sometimes referred to as “Netflix 3.0″ and it seems to be consistently used on all the 2011 products, and D6500 is not missed out.
Connectivity is also very good in the D6500 model. Samsung has introduced the new 1-foot connection feature for Wi-Fi connectivity that allows you to connect your router to a 1-foot close device without requiring a password. Overall, the D6500 Blu-ray player from Samsung is worth buying and excels in playing back 3D Blu-ray media.
